Planning Part one
As I am the only member of my group and my assigned actors do not share the same free periods as me we have agreed to film the opening sequence after school and outside school.
My opening sequence will be shot in an office which will show Blake sitting on the ground with the dead bodies of Ken and Michael laying either side of him.
Ideas for opening sequence: - Begins with extreme close-up of Blake wearing his gloves.
- Shot switches to pan shot Michael and Ken in the office looking over clues over the mysterious serial killer.
- Quick succession of reverse shots between the office and Blake approaching the office.
- Close-ups of Michael and Ken to represent the fear on their faces.
- As Blake approaches the office the lights go out to represent evil through low key lighting but the office’s lights stay on to represent the innocent/good through high-key lighting.
- Camera doesn’t follow Blake into the office – medium long shot of Blake’s back is shown whilst the door is shut on the camera.
- As the door closes the camera slowly zooms towards the door and a non-digetic sound is played in the background – voiceover by Blake
- When Blake’s voice over finishes a thud comes from inside the room and then the screen goes blank and the next time is camera active is inside the room where Blake is shown lying next to the dead bodies of Ken and Michael and the camera zooms into an extreme close up of Blake’s face and the sequence ends with one last voiceover by Blake.
