Blake's mother died from giving birth to him. He was never told of this by his father to protect him. In the course of his childhood he researched the death of his mum and came to know of the real cause and blamed himself for her death and developed a psychotic state.
Blake's father was a skilled hit-man but in Blake's point of view he was a successful stock broker and was Blake's idol.
Where Blake's passion for blood was developed:
Blake's father was hired to murder a well-connected mobster, he was quite skeptic but the pay was well and he thought it'll good for his family so he accepted. After he finished the job he realized he was being followed and murder threats were being sent to him, which lead to him being scared for Blake's life.
He researched into the threats and found the mob who were following him and threatening to hurt Blake and located them. One night he got ready to go and murder these mobsters as he felt this was the only way to keep Blake safe. As he was scared Blake's safety he took him and drove to the location and told Blake to stay in the car. Blake started to hear some screams from the house and got restless and left the car and peeked through the window and saw his father stabbing a man in the head.
